What We Do

In our attempt to foster socio-economic justice and push for equality, we will reach and impact individuals and communities via the following areas of emphasis:

Peacebuilding is a process that requires individuals to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to help them deal with issues of violent conflicts, community disintegration, and injustices including the violation of the fundamental rights of all humans, particularly women and girls.

Support will be provided to enhance and develop local community capacities for the promotion of social justice and community cohesion.

Economic Development refers to gender sensitive efforts that will provide support for ensuring the economic well-being of program participants, specifically women and girls. Economic empowerment for poverty reduction and wealth building is a key strategy for positive change. Therefore, given the role of women in the informal sector or market economy, program initiatives will be contextualized depending on a target region, country, or community. In Africa for example, agriculture, agribusiness development, food and nutrition security, and natural resource management will all be at the center of this program.

We strive to facilitate and support processes that will strengthen women and girls’ capacities to start and develop businesses so that they become self-reliant, financially secured, knowledgeable, and independent.

The word KUKATONON is a word from the Kpelle language, widely spoken in Liberia. The word means “We are one.” The Kukatonon Bridge program is inclusive in nature and focuses on establishing connections with Liberians in the diaspora and in Liberia. This will position the foundation as a global voice and lead to opportunities for community building, investments, and development beyond borders. To assure its vibrancy, non-Liberians will be invited to join as partners, participants, and supporters of this program to help foster learning and partnership building across the globe.

We foster global connections for investments, advocacy, learning and sustainable development to increase impact for women empowerment, poverty reduction and social cohesion across the globe.
